Relaxing family boat trip
If you’re deciding between renting a boat or booking a captain, do this instead. We spent a half day on the water with Kyle and it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. We chose the “local experience,” which felt exactly like it sounds, no rush, no touristy script, just a great day exploring. Our tween and teen were fully into it. We stopped at small islands, hunted for seashells, saw a manatee and dolphins, and had time to just float and relax in the ocean. It struck a nice balance between activity and downtime, which is not easy with kids that age. Kyle made the whole thing easy. He’s knowledgeable, laid-back, and clearly knows the area well. More importantly, he kept a close eye on safety without making it feel restrictive.
