Relaxing family boat trip

If youâre deciding between renting a boat or booking a captain, do this instead.
We spent a half day on the water with Kyle and it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. We chose the âlocal experience,â which felt exactly like it sounds, no rush, no touristy script, just a great day exploring.
Our tween and teen were fully into it. We stopped at small islands, hunted for seashells, saw a manatee and dolphins, and had time to just float and relax in the ocean. It struck a nice balance between activity and downtime, which is not easy with kids that age.
Kyle made the whole thing easy. Heâs knowledgeable, laid-back, and clearly knows the area well. More importantly, he kept a close eye on safety without making it feel restrictive.
If youâve heard the saying âyou donât want a boat, you want a friend with a boat,â thatâs exactly what this felt like. Kyle is that friend.
Highly recommend the half day trip, especially if you want something flexible, low-stress, and genuinely memorable.

Half day well spent!!!
4 Hour â Boating Adventure on March 25, 2026
Kyle met us at the marina, was early and ready to go. The pontoon boat was immaculate, quiet and much quicker than anticipated. Kyle was a great captain and took us out of the harbor to view the coastline and look for dolphins which were more than happy to cooperate and tended to their feeding around the boat. We stopped at two small islands and explored a bit. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing way to spend half a day on the water.

Half day trip with Captain Kyle
4 Hour â Boating Adventure on August 4, 2025
We had gone on a Charter Boat with lots of other people and it was okay but not what we were looking for. We got to looking at private Charters and came across Florida Local Charters and we booked him. We had the Best Day of our vacation with him. He took us to several places you can only access by boat. We got hundreds of shells and saw some Beautiful places we would have never been able to see. Kyle took his time to make sure we got to experience everything possible. We seen Dolphins a few times. Kyle was as excited for us to see them as we were. We will go back to Florida and we will Definitely book Kyle again. I don't think anyone else could match our expectations or experience with him. I Absolutely Positively Recommend Florida Local Charters and Captian Kyle..
