We booked our charter and as the day got closer we saw that it was supposed to be super windy. We booked the boat in priority order of snorkeling, sand bar and eco tour. Don reached out to us letting us know that because snorkeling was our 1st priority and it was super windy we wouldn’t be able to go out to the coral reef and we could cancel the trip if we wanted to. We had a great conversation with him on the expectations of the day. He managed to take us out on an amazing Eco tour, snorkeling in the bay and the sand bar. I am so happy we did NOT cancel this trip as it was absolutely amazing! His boat was great and we didn’t get sea sick at all!! I would highly recommended this charter and be open and honest with Don on what you are looking to do and you will not be disappointed!!

    Be careful booking with this group Islamorada Private Charters Captain Donald Tait

    I booked Captain Donald based on previous reviews. He was nice However we booked a Catamaran. Instead we were told I didn’t have a booking confirmed only to be told sorry I see it now after I screen shot the charge and confirmation. No boats available except large 40 foot pontoon like boat ridiculously big for 3 people and was at all what we wanted. The captain was rude yelling on the phone and said he was on the water. When we were on the boat it was fine but it wasn’t what we booked or wanted they did what they could to make it work but for 450 dollars I would have expected a discount and apology. Whether we booked third party or not that isn’t my problem they had no problem charging my card right away. Would never recommend Honestly never been so disappointed

    We had the best day with bonus dolphins. The time goes fast out on the water. We had a three year old and three hours was just enough with her. Can’t wait to go again!
