The captain took us out on a popular spot across the bay where the color of the water is breathtaking, and it took us around an hour to get there. Once we anchored, we had a beautiful time swimming around and enjoying the water and sun. A paddleboard and oar were provided, in addition to snorkling masks (but no snorkels unfortunately).
After a while the captain prepared a bunch of tapas for us to enjoy while anchored in the beautiful area. Some of the dishes he prepared are: pimientos de padron, spanish tortilla, patatas bravas, fried chorizo, assortment of cured meats and local cheeses. We were also provided with drinks, including water, beer, cava and wine. So the whole experience was very fun and relaxing!
Silvio (the captain) was friendly but unintrusive, and made the experience all the more enjoyable. He even had some fun facts about Mallorca to share, which we found quite amusing.
The boat itself was in good condition, had plenty of space, although a bigger area in the shade wouldโve been appreciated as it was quite tight trying to fit us all under it. On the flip side, thereโs plenty of room to lie down and sunbathe :) Also, the on-board toilet was very much welcome, as was the indoor area that we used for storing our stuff.
All in all, I would highly recommend the Vela Mayorca boat tour with Tapas to anyone looking to have a fun time on the water in Palma de Mallorca!
