Departing from Doca de Santo Amaro, close to the city center, we sail on a speedboat towards the ocean on a quest for wildlife. We mainly search for dolphins, and each species will behave differently with the boat. Depending on the ocean conditions, and after spending time with the dolphins, we go further into the Atlantic Ocean to find other pods of dolphins or, with luck, whales.
Dolphin watching in Portugal implies a special environmental permit. All our boats are licensed for Cetacean Observation by ICNF. This means we respect wild animals in their natural habitat by minimizing the disturbance and maintaining steady and smooth navigation to encourage dolphins to stay close by.
The guided tour is led by experienced Marine Biologists, who will provide a quality service in regards to any wildlife we encounter on each tour. This is the closest you can get to these magnificent and intelligent marine mammals.
The crew has been gathering experience in dolphin watching, customer service, and seafaring since 2008, and SeaEO was founded in Lisbon in 2018 to allow people to better connect with Nature. By joining our experience, you will allow us to deepen the knowledge on marine cetaceans in the Lisbon region, by financing our ongoing research programmes.
Despite having 98% sighting success rate, we cannot be held responsible in case we manage to find dolphins in their natural habitat.
The check-in is programmed 15 minutes before the departure time, so you can use the marina facilities prior to the activity. We depart on time, with a 5-minute tolerance.
Join us, and you will get an unforgettable ocean adventure with unique Nature encounters!
