Best time for first time fishing trip!
We had a great time! All the kids caught 2-3 fish apiece. We had a relaxing 3 hours on the boat with Captain Josh. Enjoyed the beautiful morning in the Gulf.

About Sportfishing
Sportfishing boats are built for chasing big, fast fish in open water. They blend power, range, and comfort, so you can run offshore, find the bite, and enjoy the ride. If you want a stable platform for trolling or a quick dash to the next hotspot, Sportfishing is a great choice.
Most models range from about 26 to 60 feet. Layouts often include a roomy cockpit for fishing, a shaded helm, and tall rails for safety. Many have a flybridge, which is an upper driving station with better views. Expect rod holders, a livewell for bait, a fish box, and strong outriggers to spread lines. Deep-V hulls help soften the ride when seas pick up.
These boats shine on offshore runs for tuna, mahi, or billfish, and they handle coastal trips well. Captains may troll, drift, or bottom fish, depending on season and conditions. Fast cruising speeds help you cover ground, while modern sonar and GPS make finding structure simpler.
Sportfishing boats suit beginners, families, and seasoned anglers alike. Newer anglers enjoy clear deck space and guidance from the crew. Experienced guests appreciate the tackle setup and the ability to switch tactics quickly. Bring sun protection, non-marking shoes, snacks, and a light jacket. Pack any personal medications and a camera for the action.
Before you cast off, check local rules. Confirm fishing license needs, size and bag limits, and any seasonal closures. Make sure life jackets, also called PFDs, are aboard and sized for everyone. Follow captain briefings on safety, seas, and weather. Local operating rules, including no-wake zones and alcohol limits, can vary. Review them ahead of your trip.
