Masonboro Island excursion
On July 30th we hired Captain Jeff for an island hopping excursion to Masonboro Island, an uninhabited natural preserve that you can only get to by a boat. We boarded at the Wildfire Boat Launch near Snow Cut bridge in Carolina Beach. On the way he spotted a pod of dolphins. We anchored in the intercoastal waterway at the northern tip of Masonboro Island. It was low tide when we arrived which is a perfect time for wading and sitting in the shallow warm tidal water. There are a few picturesque trails to explore from the intercoastal waterway which cross over to the ocean side. Captain Jeff retired from the New Jersey Police force, moved to the North Carolina shore, and started his boating business. He is an experienced boat captain, punctual, reliable, and personable. He is a licensed and insured. Mike and Beth from Bethesda, Maryland

Thank you Mike! It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife.
