Beautiful and Relaxing Sunset Charter

2 Hr – Soundside sunset adventure6 adults

Captain James was a great tour guide! We were in OBX for a family vacation and were looking for a charter that could show us some local sights and the sunset. Captain James knew exactly where to find several pods of porpoises that were very active the day we went. He was very knowledgeable about the birds and other wildlife we saw and made us feel comfortable to enjoy the trip! We will definitely keep him in mind when we return next year! I think our favorite aspect of Muddy Creek was Captain James made us feel like we had ownership of the charter, he just wanted us to have a good time. Thank you Captain James!

    Really cool new experience

    James was great and the boat was clean and had plenty of room for the three of us to sit. We toured the sound from the Washington Baum dock to Wanchese marina, and then more south to see and stop at some of the smaller islands. James was very informative of the wildlife and boating/fishing culture in the area and it was a perspective we weren’t expecting when we booked but appreciated the insight. We were fortunate enough to see some dolphins along the way back. James never made it seemed rushed and was willing to let us pause and enjoy the different experiences along the way.

    Most Amazing Trip!

    At first, I felt I was taking a risk using that site and I was going to get scammed, but I am so happy I was wrong! We are so happy we found Captain James and he went above and beyond for our bachelorette boat ride! We let Captain James know we were booking this trip as a private dolphin tour. We saw dolphins within minutes of being on the boat and he allowed us to stay and watch them for as long as we wanted! He was so knowledgeable about their behaviors and the local dolphin. He then took us exploring for a bit and inquired about other hopes we had for the trip. We ended up on a beach to look for shells and we even were able to go for a swim. Truly this experience was everything we were hoping for and more. It was fully tailored to what we wanted to do. When we come back to OBX I will be booking with Captain James again, and referring him to other visitors!

    We had a fantastic experience with Captain James at Muddy Creek Adventures this week. From the moment we set out, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Although the dolphins weren’t cooperating that day, it certainly wasn’t for lack of effort. We saw several other boats searching with no luck, and Captain James did everything he could to make the experience enjoyable. Instead of letting it feel disappointing, he turned the trip into a beautiful scenic cruise, sharing the area’s natural beauty and history and making the most of our time on the water. Even without seeing dolphins, we had an amazing time thanks to Captain James’s positive attitude and dedication. We highly recommend Muddy Creek Adventures!

    We worked for our dolphins and never found them but no matter we still had a beautiful cruise and I would love to have you all again anytime.

    AMAZING TRIP!! Captain James is the GOAT

    Captain James was awesome! we went for my sister bachelorrette trip and we had a blast. Captain James took us to the perfect spots and we spotted multiple dolphins and he even offered to extend our time but unfortunately we had other prior reservations that day so we couldnt, but would deffinetely book again with him for a whole day on the boat! He was very responsible but also FUN and very kind! James had great communication and answered in a very timely manner. He was also very flexible with accomodations. HIGHLY recommend using Captain James for boat excursions in the OBX.

    Highly Recommend Captain James

    3 Hr – Sand Island Picnic & Sunset • 4 adults

    Captain James was wonderful. He knew that we wanted to see dolphins, because we communicated several times before the cruise, so he drove around until he found some. He also showed us the commercial fishing boats and had a lot of knowledge of the area. It was a sunset cruise. So we leisurely cruised along the bank as we watch the sunset. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable boat ride which was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend Captain James and will book him again the next time we are in the Outer Banks area.
