Nothing was wrong, but there was very little engagement or guidance. He did not explain where we were, what we might see, or offer any interaction beyond the basics. We had mentioned a few requests before heading out, but they were not really addressed.
Considering the high cost of the trip we had expected a bit more in terms of enthusiasm, local insight, or hospitality. The experience was fine, but not at the level we hoped for.
I wanted to share this as constructive feedback and I sent it to the owner, Neal, who really did not seem to care. We appreciate the service, but think that a little more attention or interaction from the skipper could make a big difference for future guests.
If you want an experience where the skipper gets in the water, tells you where you are going, helps you explore beautiful Malta, I’d look elsewhere. We snorkel around the world frequently and this one came up very short. We even asked to end the tour 3-4 hours early….... never done that before.
