8 Hour – Fishing & Island hopping on March 9, 2026 • 2 adults

My husband and I had an absolutely incredible day on the water with Captain Dan. We booked a full-day trip, and within minutes of dropping our lines, my husband reeled in a 27-inch grouper. It was an unbelievable start to the day. From there, we caught a variety of species including grouper, red drum, grunt, and trout.

Captain Dan was exceptional. His knowledge, skill, and genuine local insight made the entire experience even better. He also took us to Egmont Key State Park, a stunning island only accessible by boat. Exploring the island, lighthouse and historic fort ruins was a great break in the day and Dan was the perfect guide. 

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ve taken several fishing trips before, and Captain Dan is by far our favorite guide. He’s down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and my husband especially enjoyed chatting with him throughout the day. Highly recommend Captain Dan. Awesome day!! We will definitely be back next year.

Captain Dan is great

6 hour fishing and island tour on June 17, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 children

Captain Dan was awesome! We fished for three hours and caught multiple baby sharks, speckled trout, and cat fish. Our four kids had a blast and saw dolphins and got to snorkel with all the gear Dan brought for them. He provided tons of water and made sure we all had a blast. We went shelling on Shell key and ended it hanging in the water by the boat chatting with Cap’t Dan! It was perfect day!

8 Hour – Fishing & Island hopping on August 4, 2025 • 2 adults • 1 child

Can’t go wrong with Captain Dan and Beachside Charters. He’s gonna do everything he can to put you on the fish & make sure you have a great time. Started with catching some nice sized redfish in the morning. Then Our 12 year old decided he wanted to catch a shark. 4 hrs later we had landed about 8 blacktips, lost 2. - loved every second of it!!
We will definitely be repeat customers. Great Time!

4 hour island trip

Had an amazing time with captain dan. Our 4 hour trip to shell key was great! We found great shells and sand dollars as well as many schools of dolphins.
