Amelia Light Tackle
Come explore Amelia Island and surrounding waters with someone has been brought up and has made a living on these waters.
If you’re looking for a polished cocktail cruise with chrome rails and background music, this probably isn’t your boat.
My name is Captain Jesse Stubbs. My family’s roots run through Amelia, Cumberland, St. Simons, Sea Island, and Sapelo, these waters raised me.
The boat is an ole rugged 21’ Sea Pro, bay boat. She’s not a luxury vessel she’s honest and don’t mind a fishing pole, a working net or the bycatch. She’s Powered by a 150HP Yamaha thats uses to sliding along marsh edges with the dolphins! She’ll cross the inlets sometimes choppy waters with ease, and get you where the real beauty is along these historic public trust corridors.
When we head out, we can:
• do the main stream classic tour,
• Run the rivers and jetty where the river meets the ocean
• Cruise Cumberland’s south end, or
• Ease through backwater creeks most visitors never see
• Watch dolphins work the tide lines
• Talk about shrimping history, storms, development, and how this place works from above or below the waterline’s perspective,
• Or drop a line and fish a little while we’re out, or a cast net for shrimp
Up to four guests really works well for fishing however we may can fit another on cruises, Your in good hands, Family friendly of all ages, Bring curiosity, ask questions, this isn’t a scripted tour, my job is to keep everyone safe and have a great experience. We move with discretion of the elements, this is a great trip!ill keep an eye out on tue weather, and check in with you before the trip. If you have any questions, Please let me know, I will be standing by.
