    (5-hour Boating adventure)

    great day on the water

What a wonderful day! 6 of us went out with Scott for a 5 hour trip island hopping and a little fishing as well. The Lil Yachty was a great boat with plenty of room for 6 and shade. Scott did a great job taking us to some great spots. We highly recommend Scott and will use him again if we're in the area!

    (2 Hour – Island Tour)

    Can’t wait for next time!

We had the best time on our harbor cruise with Captain Paul and Alex! They were friendly, fun and very accommodating. They shared some fun facts along the ride but also let us do our thing, including control the music. Would 100% recommend them to anyone and look forward to the next occassion I have to book a trip.

(4 Hr – Sandbar and Swimming)

    Best boat cruise with Eugene!

All 11 of us had a grest day on the water with Eugene! He took us to a restaurant and we had a few frozen drinks and went swimming at a sandbar. Captain Gene is the best.

(2 Hour – Family Fun (AM or PM) - 6:00 PM)

    Amazing experience!

Captain John was awesome! My family had such a great time on thr water. He was very patient helping my kids fish for the first time and very knowledgeable about the fish we caught (they were plentiful) and the surrounding area. We will definitely book with him again the next time we are here. Highly, highly recommend booking a trip with him. It’s been the highlight of our trip so far!

John's boat was exceptionally clean and organized. My girls enjoyed learning to fish. John is very friendly and makes fishing fun for the family.

About Downeast

Downeast is a classic powerboat style built for comfort and tough water. It blends a seaworthy hull with a cozy cabin, making it a smart choice for cruising and fishing. Book a Downeast trip if you want a smooth ride, steady handling, and timeless lines.

Most Downeast boats run between 25 and 45 feet. They usually have a deep keel, which helps the boat track straight, and a semi-displacement hull for a stable ride. Expect a sheltered helm, a large cockpit, and a cabin with berths, a small galley, and a head, which is a marine toilet.

This boat type shines on day cruises, sunset runs, and weekend getaways. Anglers like the roomy cockpit for trolling or bottom fishing, and the high gunwales for added security. The hull handles chop well, so you stay comfortable while underway.

A Downeast suits first-time boaters, families, and seasoned guests. It is easy to move around thanks to wide side decks and a steady beam, the boat’s width. Bring soft-soled shoes, sun protection, a light jacket, and small bags. Most trips provide life jackets, also called PFDs, but ask your captain about sizes for kids.

Before you cast off, check local rules where you plan to boat. Some places require fishing licenses or special permits. Follow safety guidelines, know the capacity rating, and never boat under the influence, known as BUI. Ask your captain about required gear, float plans, and any local operating or no-wake zones. Staying informed helps you enjoy your Downeast trip with confidence.
