August boating trip
Mauro was so cute, friendly and very patient with my very impatient son. We booked because my son is just becoming interested in fishing and I’m always looking for the next great shell, plus I wanted to snorkel. He offered everything. Mauro was very upfront that the snorkeling would depend on the weather and no false promises were made. Unfortunately, for us, the tide was a lil too strong and we couldn’t do it. It was nice he was concerned about our safety and not just our money. We spent a lot of the time fishing. We caught (and released) some small fish, a catfish and 2 baby sharks. Mauro had to bigger sharks hooked, but they chewed right through the line and off they went. We headed over to Keewadin Island. I didn’t allot much time there because the experience was primarily for my son to fish. I found a couple cool shells. It was also neat to see baby stingray swim right along the shoreline. We come to Marco Island a couple times a year, so we’ll definitely use him again. Mauro also keeps his boat very clean. It was a fun morning. Seeing the pure joy on my 7 year old face was everything.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for choosing Salt and Sunset Charters for your family's morning on the water! It was truly a pleasure having you and your son aboard. Watching a young angler catch fish, chase the next great shell, and light up with pure joy is exactly why I love what I do. I'm just sorry the current didn't cooperate for snorkeling, but safety always comes first, and I'm glad we still made it a fun and memorable trip. Since you make it to Marco Island a couple of times a year, I'd be honored to have you all back on board. The adventure is far from over, hopefully we'll do it all again very soon! Thank you again, and tight lines! Captain Mauro
