- Born in Vila de Oeiras, 15 km from Lisbon, where the river meets the sea, my connection to sailing runs deep in my family. Both on my mother’s and father’s side, sailing has always been a way of life. From the moment I could walk, I was already sailing, especially with my father’s brothers, taking part in regattas on the Tagus River and enjoying family cruises from the Algarve to Oporto. Over the years, I have gained solid experience in coastal navigation, including boat transportations between Lisbon, the Algarve, and Northern Portugal. I have also participated in international regattas in Cádiz Bay, further refining my skills in competitive sailing. Credentials: • Degree in Urbanism and Territory Planning • Coastal Skipper Certified • Local Skipper Certified • Radio VHF Operator Certified • Jury Race Committee Official Certified • Official Race Committee Official Certified • Certified ISAF Measurer • Inspector for Official ISAF Races • Sailing Coach Preferences: • Favorite drinks on board: Water, beer, red/white/rosé wine, and gin & tonic • Sailing soundtrack: 70’s, 80s and 90s rock (any band), chill-out music, jazz, gipsy jazz, flamenco and classical guitar • Best after-sail dinner: A large, juicy steak with French fries and rice.
