Background: Captain Henry Eplin, owner of Add Water Excursions, LLC and a native of Fort Pierce, Fla., spent much of his childhood exploring the Indian River Lagoon, often fishing with his grandfather right where the Causeway Cove Marina is located – the starting point for every Fort Pierce excursion. Eplin, a dedicated Lineman for FPL, faced a life-changing moment when he underwent open-heart surgery in 2023. During his recovery, he found time to reflect on the beautiful things we often take for granted in this abundant life. It was through this period of introspection that he took a leap of faith and established his charter company, Add Water Excursions. "While I absolutely love what I do for a living, one day, my body won't be so eager to climb a pole like it is now," said Captain Henry Eplin. "And when that day comes, I’ll be ready. I mean, my family and I are on the water every weekend, anyway."
