Renter Specific Terms
Before Your Trip
Scope of Services
BoatBooker only acts in the capacity of an intermediary and is not a party to any boat rental, boat tour, boat charter agreement, or other transaction between users of the platform . BoatBooker only acts in the capacity of an intermediary on behalf of the Owner or other Principal that provides Services advertised on the Platform By placing a reservation or making a booking through BoatBooker, the Renter enters into a contract directly with the Owner and they will be subject to the Owner's terms and conditions. The delivery terms and conditions of an Owner can be obtained from the relevant Owner if requested, before a booking is confirmed or along with the booking confirmation. By confirming a booking, Renter accepts the terms and conditions of the Owner as well as the BoatBooker Terms and Conditions. If there is a discrepancy between the Owner's private cancellation policy and that stated on their BoatBooker Listing, the one stated on the listing applies.
BoatBooker will not be liable for anything stated in the Owner’s terms and conditions. BoatBooker's Agreement with Users sets out User rights and obligations when they book or reserve services through BoatBooker.
From the point at which a Renter makes a reservation, BoatBooker acts solely as an intermediary between the Renter and the Owner , transmitting the details of the reservation to the relevant Owner and sending the Renter a confirmation email for and on behalf of the Owner.
BOATBOOKER WILL DO ITS BEST TO ASSIST YOU, BUT WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY CONCERNING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT WITH THE OWNER , AND THIS SHOULD BE TAKEN UP WITH THE OWNER DIRECTLY.
By making a reservation with an Owner, the Renter accepts and agrees to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy, security deposit, and fuel policy of that Owner , and to any additional terms and conditions of the Owner that may apply to the reservation, including for services rendered and/or products offered by the Owner (the delivery terms and conditions of an Owner can be obtained from the relevant Owner) . The general cancellation and no-show policy, security deposit, and fuel policy of each Owner is made available on our website on the Owner information pages during the reservation procedure and in the booking confirmation email. Please note that certain rates are not eligible for cancellation or change. Renters are instructed to check the Owner's details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making a reservation.
By making a reservation with an Owner , the Renter has to accept and agree to these Terms of Use as well as to the relevant Terms and Conditions of the booked Owner, and, by doing so, are obliged to inform other members of their party of the applicable terms.
For information regarding payments, please read our Payment and Pricing Terms .
Requirement to Review Owner Rules and Restrictions
Separate terms and conditions may apply to a Renter's reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and the services that they select . Renters are instructed to read these separate terms and conditions carefully on the Owner's listing page. The renter should address all relevant questions with the relevant Owner by using the BoatBooker Instant Messaging feature before booking a trip. Renters agree to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by any Owner with whom they elect to deal, including, but not limited to, the payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the Owner's rules and restrictions regarding availability and use of fares, products, or services. BoatBooker reserves the right to cancel a Renter's booking if full payment is not received in a timely fashion. Renters acknowledge that some third-party Owners offering certain services and/or activities may require Renters to sign a liability waiver prior to participating in the services and/or activities they offer. Renters understand that any violation of any Owner's rules and restrictions may result in a cancellation of their reservation(s), in them being denied access to the applicable product or services, and/or in them forfeiting any monies paid for such a reservation.
Insurance and Safety
It is a condition of booking with BoatBooker that Renters and all members of their party, including infants and children, are adequately insured. Some hazardous activities may require additional coverage. Renters are instructed to check this with their insurance dealer. It may be a term of the Renter's contract with the Owner that they take out suitable insurance cover and inform the Owner of it so that they can take down your insurer's details. BoatBooker cannot accept responsibility for any costs Renters incur as a result of not being adequately insured.
In the event that a Renter or Owner experiences any cost that may occur prior to, during, or after the trip, due to the cancellation of a trip, BoatBooker will not be responsible regardless of the reason for the cancellation.
By booking a trip, Renters acknowledge and accept that boating as an activity,
bears inherent risks such as
slipping on the boat, seasickness, etc, and BoatBooker is not liable for any such occurrences.
BY OFFERING SERVICES TO PARTICULAR INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS, BOATBOOKER DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT TRAVEL TO SUCH POINTS IS ADVISABLE OR WITHOUT RISK, AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OR LOSSES THAT MAY RESULT FROM TRAVEL TO SUCH DESTINATIONS.
Documentation
Once Renters receive a confirmation email, they are instructed to check it carefully to make sure that all details are correct and also ensure that the names given are the same as in the relevant ID documents they may be asked to present to t he Owner. If Renters believe any detail to not be correct, they should contact BoatBooker. Renters are instructed to ensure that they check the information provided so that they are fully aware of timings, durations, departures, and other details. Renters are advised to read our Platform Rules and Guidelines prior to their trip. If Renters are unsure about any aspect of their trip, they should contact our Customer Service department.
Although every effort has been made to ensure that information displayed on the Platform is entirely complete and accurate, BoatBooker accepts no liability for any injury to persons or any loss or damage to property caused by errors or omissions in the data displayed, whether they result from negligence, accident, or any other cause.
BoatBooker does not accept responsibility for any activity or procedure that may be necessary in order to enjoy the use of BoatBooker’s services, including, but not limited to, procuring or having in possession any passport or valid identification for travel or licenses, and/or other documentation required by state law in the state/country in which the boat trip takes place. This is the sole responsibility of the Renter.
Please note that laws and regulations related to boating and licensing differ around the world, and it is the sole responsibility of t he Renter to inform themselves of them. BoatBooker makes no representations about, confirms, nor endorses any Owner or Renter, nor any Owner or Renter's purported identity or background. Any references to an Owner being "verified" (or similar language) only indicate that the Renter or Owner has completed a relevant verification or BoatBooker identification process and nothing more. Any such description is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee by BoatBooker about any Owner, including about the Owner's identity, background, or whether the Owner is trustworthy, safe, or suitable. Renters should always exercise due diligence and care when deciding whether to book a trip and when communicating and interacting with an Owner , whether online or in person, especially when they travel outside of their country of residence.
By using the website, Users agree that any legal remedy or liability that they seek to obtain for actions or omissions of other Owners, Renters , or other third parties will be limited to a claim against the particular Owner or Renter or another third party who caused them harm. Users agree not to attempt to impose liability on or seek any legal remedy from BoatBooker with respect to such actions or omissions.
Best Price Guarantee
In the unlikely event that a Renter finds a lower rate than on BoatBooker.com on another website within 24 hours of booking with BoatBooker.com, BoatBooker will credit or refund the difference in price to the Renter.
The trip must be completed in accordance with the booked itinerary to be eligible to receive a refund or credits for the price difference.
Notifying BoatBooker of a Claim
A Rente r must file a Best Price Guarantee application form within twenty-four (24) hours after making their BoatBooker.com booking in order to make a claim under the Best Price Guarantee. The lower rate must be available for booking at the time they contact BoatBooker, as determined by BoatBooker Renter service representatives.
Must be "Apples to Apples" Comparison
The Best Price Guarantee is available only for exact itinerary matches – this means the same: specific vessel, trip type, duration, number of guests, and the exact same dates and times of travel or service as booked through BoatBooker.com. For any stand-alone product booking (for example, a single day trip) , the comparison must be to the same product purchased stand-alone through another website ( i.e. not part of an all-inclusive or multi day trip package) . The Best Price Guarantee is not available for bookings on websites where the charter operator, itinerary, or similar booking details are unknown until after purchase. Renters must meet all requirements imposed on the lower price (if any), including, without limitation, residency, regional, and age-related requirements.
Comparison Rates must be available to the general public online. The Best Price Guarantee applies only to prices both advertised and available to the general public on an English-language website. For example, this does not include rates offered on:
- Membership program websites, corporate discounts, or rates;
- Group, rewards program, incentive, meeting, convention, consolidator, or interline prices;
- Prices obtained via auction or similar process;
- Prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public;
The lower rate must not come from a website where you are required to call in order to get the rate or from an email that you received. In addition, the rate must be quoted, booked, and paid for in US dollars. In the event when a lower rate is expressed in a foreign currency, for the purpose of applying the Best Price Guarantee Policy, the rate will be converted to US dollars.
The rates must be compared in the total amount paid, not only in the amount presented in the offer, as we compare the total cost with/without taxes, with/without processing fees, etc.
Important note regarding additional services: To qualify for the Best Price Guarantee, you must have paid the required prepayment booking deposit on the booking in full.
Verification of Claims
All requests, including receipts, are subject to verification by BoatBooker. BoatBooker will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower price that cannot be independently confirmed by BoatBooker personnel, nor will BoatBooker verify any request that it believes, at its sole discretion, is the result of a printing or other error, or is made fraudulently or in bad faith. Verified requests will receive a credit to the credit card used for the booking, within approximately 7–10 days of verification.
Changes
BoatBooker reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or discontinue the Best Price Guarantee or to restrict its availability to any person at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to Users. The terms that are in effect at the time of a User's booking will determine their eligibility under the Best Price Guarantee. No change in the Best Price Guarantee program will affect any credit that has already been issued. The failure of BoatBooker to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions will not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Changes
If a Renter needs to change any details about their trip, they can request to do so on their "My Bookings" option on the website or the BoatBooker Renter app, by clicking on "Change Booking" Please keep in mind that Renters must request the change through the BoatBooker platform, otherwise it will not be deemed valid. To propose a change to their booking, Renters should go to "Change Booking" on their booking details page. They can then enter the proposed changes and also contact the Owner, who will be notified of their request and will, subsequently, have 48 hours to respond. If they do not respond, then the change request will not have been accepted and the original trip details will remain in place.
For Private Trips, Renters can request a change of the date and start time of their trip, the size of their group as well as package change if it’s available. For Shared Trips, Renters can request to change the date and the size of their group.
Changing a trip may incur additional charges.
A change request can be withdrawn as long as the Owner hasn't responded to it yet.
If an Owner does not accept a Renter's change request, the original trip details stay the same.
If an Owner requests to change a trip, Renters will be notified and can either accept the change or decline and suggest a different time/date without incurring a penalty.
BoatBooker reserves the right to change any booking, at its sole discretion, for any reason.
Unused Services
Neither BoatBooker nor its authorized representatives will offer or pay any discounts or refunds for missed or unused services which were missed or unused by the Renter due to no fault of BoatBooker or its representatives, which will include any termination of the Renter's participation in the Service due to the Renter's own fault, negligence, or breach of these Terms.
After The Trip
Complaints
As the Renter's contract is with the Owner , all complaints should be addressed to them. However, BoatBooker will do our best to assist Renters with any queries or concerns they may have relating to their arrangements. If Renters have a problem while on a boating trip booked through BoatBooker, they must report to the Owner , their local supplier, or representative immediately. If Renters fail to follow this procedure, their complaint is less likely to be properly investigated and rectified. Any complaint upon a Renter's return from their trip must be directed to the Owner. Renters will see the Owner’s contact details on the confirmation documents BoatBooker sends to them. BoatBooker will, of course, do its best to assist Renters if required.
In the event that any User requires the contact information of another User, BoatBooker reserves the right:
- To provide the requested information with the consent of the User who owns the requested information;
- To provide the requested information after the reception of an official request issued by the government and public authorities.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area and you disagree with the way your complaint was handled, you may be able to complain via the European Commission's ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) platform (ec.europa.eu/odr), depending on the nature and subject of your complaint.

Renters may submit their reviews, and contributions, about boating experiences. For more detailed information, please read our Content Terms, Renter Review Rules section, and Review Policy in our Platform Rules and Guidelines, as they constitute an integral part of these Terms.
