Try them. If you pay in full up front like I did, be prepared to have them refund the money for the captain so you can pay him directly. Sounded odd at first, but they kept their word and i pain accordingly plus tip.

Day @ Crab Island
Bring your own towels, sunscreen, snacks. Parking is free, cooler with ice and waters/soda provided. There is shade. You do not need to bring chairs. He has snorkel equipment and floating chairs. There is also a fresh water shower to rinse off. Water is 3ft deep where you get off. No shells to step on/you don’t need water shoes.

Booking a private tour is so much better than the big group tours. The boats are cleaner and much more comfortable. There is better interaction with the captain and you learn so much about the area. It is a great, family-friendly option!

We did our tour at the end of March and it was great for what we wanted, but a little chilly with the 8-10 am time slot. I was glad someone warned me so passing it along - a light hooded pullover and blanket/towels for the kids to cover legs was helpful!

Captain Sean and Crew mate Joy were fantastic. We did the harbor lights sunset cruise and it didn’t disappoint. The captain positioned us perfectly for the Thursday fireworks. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.
