Our beautiful sailing yacht, Southwinds, has an impressive English design pedigree and past. Designed by Robert Clark in 1948, her original plans are now in the Museum in Greenwich and her specifications registered with Lloyds.
Constructed with beautiful Huon Pine and launched in 1950, she would have been one of the fastest and largest yachts in Sydney Harbour at that time.
The deck area comprises a massive top deck with dining table and seating, and plenty space for guests to relax and enjoy the scenic wonders of Sydney.
Anyone who has spent time aboard Southwinds will confirm, sailing is just a part of the enjoyment. She is a beautiful yacht that sails fast and steady due to a long waterline and solid build. The decks are expansive as can be expected on a yacht this long, while her Ketch rig keeps her manageable to sail.
This sublime classic sailing yacht features rich timbers, large windows with high wide floors, creating a luxurious, spacious and welcoming atmosphere.
Southwinds is available for private charters, small corporate events with up to 22 guests., as well as small group public sightseeing history cruises and learn to sail experiences with up to 16 guests.
