Brian "Wes" Marks has been operating boats professionally since 1979 when he joined the USCG. Serving as a Heavy Weather Motor Lifeboat coxswain at several lifesaving stations, Executive Officer on two patrol boats, and as Officer in Charge of the Coast Guard Lifeboat stations in Hatteras and Ocracoke NC, he retired in 1999 as a Senior Chief Boatswains mate.

Wes started operating charter boats on the Chesapeake Bay doing eco-tourism, crabbing, oystering, fishing, and general boat trips. In 2019 Wes moved his boat and business to lower Delaware and continues to operate boats for cruising, sightseeing, fishing, and other fun things in coastal Maryland and Delaware.
