Saltwater Safari Company - Sightseeing Tours
Founded in 1990, Saltwater Safari Company has been under the same ownership from day one and has provided tens of thousands of guests from all over the world the opportunity to view the amazing sights that Seward, Alaska, has to offer!
Located just a short 2-hour drive from Anchorage, Seward is most popular for its small-town charm, along with its surrounding landscape, which has made it a huge tourism destination for guests from all over the world during the summer months!
The Kenai Fjords National Park is home to a wide variety of Alaskan wildlife. Humpback, gray, and orca whales frequent these waters. You can also expect to see stellar sea lions, Dall’s porpoises, sea otters, bald eagles, and a tremendous variety of marine birds that migrate to this breeding ground every summer.
The Kenai Fjords National Park hosts the largest concentration of wildlife on the Kenai Peninsula, including brown bears, black bears, and mountain goats. The team at Saltwater Safari Tours will guide you on your Kenai Fjords National Park adventure! We offer both full and half-day tours of the Kenai Fjords National Park on our fast and stable 53' vessels, Legend and Legacy.
Unlike other tour companies that pack their vessels with several hundred guests, we limit our groups to a maximum of 16 passengers, offering a comfortable and more personalized experience! Our 360° walk-around decks, roomy cabin, and short passenger list all add up to a comfortable and enjoyable trip into the Kenai Fjords National Park! We’ve also had our fishing charters available on BoatBooker’s sister website “FishingBooker” since 2017 and we have the highest review rating out of all charters in the entire state of Alaska!

Captain Bobby is one of the owners of Saltwater Safari Company and started working for the brand in 2008. He is the nephew of Capt. Bob Candopolous and has logged tens of thousands of hours working on our fleet of vessels, where he learned everything he knows today about boating and the local knowledge of the region. In the earlier part of his maritime career, he worked several years up in the Alaska Oil Fields in Prudhoe Bay on passenger vessels, as well as on a tug and barge that would haul out heavy equipment and machinery to and from the oil rigs. At the age of 22, he received his United States Coast Guard License as Master of Vessels up to 100 Gross Tons and started operating our fleet of vessels in 2012, but he is primarily the master of the 53′ Legend. During the offseason, Capt. Bobby spends his winters in Central Florida guiding tours in the Everglades! Between our summer season in Alaska and his winter season down in Florida, he has guided so many guests from around the world in seeing nature the way it's intended to be seen, and you'll be sure to enjoy him as your guide on a tour with us!
