August boating trip
7 Hour – Icacos Adventure on August 13, 202610 adults2 children
the owner is responsive, communication was great and the boat was very nice. we didnt get the appetizers and chips with dip as they said they provid and the floating device had two big holes in it and when i spoke to the owner she said the previous renter did that and there was no time to get a new one. i would imagine i should of been told this. we also asked the captin if he could park the boat where there is no rocks to get on the beach and he told us we could swim around. also they try and discourage you from going down stairs on the boat by saying you get “motion sick” down there. during the trip we realize its because the crew is laying down kn the bed and sitring on the couch down stairs. we notice other boats and their crew members were sitting either outside the boat or in the boat cabin. overall it was okay, but for $4500 i expected a little more.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the boat beautiful and that communication with our team was responsive throughout the booking process. We would, however, like to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. Regarding the floating mat, the damage occurred during the charter immediately before yours, when guests used the mat in a manner it is not designed for, resulting in two punctures. Because your charter was the following morning, there was unfortunately no opportunity to replace it beforehand. The mat remained floating and usable, which is why it was still made available. We understand that you would have preferred to be informed beforehand, and we apologize for not communicating that more clearly. Regarding access downstairs, guests are absolutely not discouraged from enjoying the interior of the vessel. However, after swimming, guests must be completely dry before entering the interior or using the beds and furniture. This is necessary for sanitary reasons and to protect the vessel’s bedding, upholstery, and interior. The crew may also advise guests that remaining downstairs while the vessel is underway can cause motion sickness, which is a common consideration aboard boats and is not intended to prevent anyone from using the interior. Regarding the comment about moving the boat closer to the beach, it is important to clarify that this is a large vessel, not a small boat or dinghy that can simply be driven into very shallow water. A vessel of this size requires a specific draft and adequate depth beneath the hull, and the captain cannot compromise the safety of the passengers or the vessel by moving into an area with insufficient depth, rocks, or reef. In fact, the vessel was anchored in the same general location shown in the photos on this platform’s listing. The captain selected the appropriate anchoring position based on the vessel’s draft, water depth, and surrounding conditions. Guests may need to swim from the vessel to certain beach areas, which is normal for a yacht of this size and is not a matter of the captain simply refusing to move the boat. We are also looking into why the chips, dip, and appetizers were not provided as expected, as those items should have been included, and we apologize for that oversight. Finally, we take comments regarding the professionalism of our crew seriously and have addressed the concerns directly with the captain and team. Our crew has many years of experience serving guests aboard vessels of this caliber, and professionalism and guest safety are extremely important to us. We appreciate the feedback and will use the points raised here to improve our communication and ensure expectations are even clearer for future charters.
