Island Hopping
Amazing experience!
I usually never leave reviews, but after the amazing experience we had this past Saturday for my wife’s birthday, I had to make an exception. We arrived about 5 minutes early, and Jean already had the boat ready for us. There was no waiting at all, which made a great first impression. We were 4 adults and 2 children, and we booked the island hopping package. The package included fruits, sodas, beers, and BBQ hamburgers, which were all great. Jean also had an assistant with him (sorry, I forgot her name), and both of them were attentive the entire time. They were always checking if we needed refills, wanted something from the boat, or needed anything at all. At the first island, Icacos, the waves were rough, so Jean checked with a friend and confirmed that conditions were better at the second island, Palomino. After about 40 minutes, we moved there and had a much better time. Jean couldn’t control the waves, but he definitely controlled our experience by making smart decisions and making sure we enjoyed the day. It’s always great to see young people who are responsible, respectful, hardworking, and willing to go the extra mile. Everyone in our group had a fantastic time. I told him that besides the great reviews, the BBQ was one of the reasons we chose him and I’m so glad we did. I had been considering other boat that had more reviews, but I’m very happy I chose this one instead. Highly recommended!

Island Hopping
One of Those Perfect Days You Wish You Could Bottle Up
We booked a charter with Captain Jean and it was honestly an amazing experience. It was just my two boys (18 and 10) and I, and it ended up being one of those days we’ll remember for a long time. We started off beach hopping and went snorkeling at Cayo Icacos, where we saw a ton of fish while my oldest explored the island. Absolutely beautiful spot. From there, we headed toward Palomino Island and found a few sea turtles swimming. We jumped in and even saw a few remora and a barracuda… and that was about enough excitement for me, I happily climbed back into the boat after that 😅 Next we stopped at a small island where Captain Jean cooked burgers for my family and me, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Overall, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, safe, and laid-back, Captain Jean is your guy. You won’t regret it.

East Coast Boat Tour
Cpt Jean and a Perfect Day
Don’t think twice! Go with Jean. Wow! What an incredible day! We had two little ones (6 and 2) and Cpt Jean was fantastic accommodating our group. He took it slow over the big waves, brought us to the perfect location and provided us a beautiful fruit spread which truly hit the spot. He also provided simple but yummy sandwiches, plenty of beer, water and juice (and some other stuff we just didn’t need!). His raft made for a fantastic central point to our hanging out on a perfect isolated island with bright blue water and powder soft sand. It was the perfect day! The boat was comfortable and fit our group of 5 (could have easily fit a couple more). He was a great host and provided us with one of the highlights of our trip. One thing I certainly don’t regret is taking a private tour vs the many huge boats packed with people. Trust me - most of them looked stuffed in on those boats, although they did look beautiful. We enjoyed our privacy and the ability to do exactly what WE wanted with our little ones. He also gave great suggestions for the rest of our vacation. Thank you Jean!

Jean was perfect!
Our family recently had the absolute highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico thanks to Jean and Merluzapr! From start to finish, the island hopping experience was nothing short of incredible. Jean is truly the best host you could ask for—he was professional, attentive, and made sure our family felt safe and entertained the entire time. The kids were absolutely thrilled to go swimming in such beautiful waters, and seeing the turtles and dolphins in their natural habitat was a magical experience we will never forget. To top it all off, the burgers served on board were delicious—a perfect lunch to fuel our day on the water. We had such a fantastic time that we are already looking forward to booking another trip with Jean the next time we are in Puerto Rico.
