Welcome aboard Romancing The Wind Charter Group. We offer private group charters aboard our custom all-sreel sailboat for groups up to 35 passengers!
Hourly Rates:*
1-30 passengers $925/hr
31-35 hourly rate plus $60 for each paerson above 30.
*In addition to our hourly rates, there is an 11% Port and Marina fee mandated by the Port of San Diego. This fee, and the remaining balance of the charter cost, is collected directly by us! All charters must be paid in full within 48 hours of your Boatbooker approval. Once approved, one of our staff will be in contact with you to collect all funds due, and help you plan your charter. A credit card is required to be on file.
During high season (May 15 - October 15), Saturday charter requests require a three *(3) hour minimum.
*Two (2) hour Saturday charter requests are subject to availability.

Our 5-Star rated all steel ketch sailboat, S/V Romancing The Wind, provides breathtaking views of the San Diego Bay skyline, the historical vessels of the San Diego Maritime Museum , the USS Midway, Coronado Bridge and Wild Life.! We specializem in Corporate Events, Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties, Cocktail Party Cruises, Weddings, Anchor & Swim Parties, Sunset Sails, or just a fun day in the sun! We also offer Memorial Services including Ash Scatterings and Full Body Burials at Sea.
Our 60’ Sailing Yacht, SV Romancing The Wind, is USCG Documented and Inspected, and is operated by a highly qualified USCG licensed Captain and Crew. We offer a spacious layout with more deck space than any other vessel in oir class! Our high rigid rails provide unparalleled safety, and full access around the entire deck, even while under sail, and we are certified safe for children of all ages!
We also offer fantastic Food and Beverage catering packages, at bery reasonable prices, to make your day completely hassle free! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

We had 26 friends come together to celebrate for a conjoined bach party and it was highly enjoyed by everyone. Many said it was their favorite part of the weekend trip. The boat had plenty of space for all of us. Crew was awesome and friendly. A tad bit chilly at times but we went end of May so that was expected and thoughtfully communicated by Bernice prior.

Communication and planning was top notch. Captain and crew were very friendly and the sail boat was beautiful and spacious. I took a group of customers for an evening in the harbor and everyone had a great time.

I've began working partime in the boating and charter industry in my early twenties, while also learning to fly. I eventually became a professional pilot and flew for over 50 years total. During that career I also continued with boating and sailing taking trips on vessels around the world. I began Captaining on my current vessel in 2014 under a different owner. I purchased the vessel, Romancing The Wind, in 2019. I retired from the airlines in 2022 and have been operating RTW full time ever since.

How cancellations work
Free cancellation up to 7 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
How you can pay
Reserve with a 10% booking deposit, pay the captain the rest
When the captain confirms your trip, BoatBooker charges your credit card a 10% booking deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:

When paying the remaining balance with a credit card, an additional 2.5% charge will apply.
