It may be hard to believe, but before the late 1920s, there was no Lake Murray - just miles of farmland and communities. Landowners and families in those communities were asked to sell their homesteads and land to create the Lake. For many, that meant leaving behind generations of life, buildings, bridges, and more, much of which remains under the Lake. The 2-hour Dam History Tour offers up to 6 Guests the opportunity to learn about the lost secrets of the Lake and explore the legend of a VW-sized fish.

Take a 7-mile leisure cruise to Sandy Beach. Arrive at Sandy Beach for fun in the sun. Guests can enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Murray to cool their skin. 11:30 am depart heading back to Shealy's Landing. Upon arrival, we help unload guest items and shuttle them back to their vehicles. Will extend tour if available for $120 per hour
