What boaters say about Cuddy cabin tours & charters
- 5.0/5(4hr Sand Bar / Sunset)
Besutiful ceremony
Capt. Hayden took us out for me to bury my Daddy at sea. He was so kind and so professional. Very easy to talk to and hold a conversation with. I will definitely 100% use him again! Please book with him. You won’t regret it!
- 5.0/5(Sunset)
- 5.0/5(2 Hour – The Porto Experience! - 12:30 PM)
Brilliant trip
Ben and his crew of Pedro and Pedro gave us a fantastic experience. We had some slightly unusual requests to do some filming and Ben and his team were very accommodating. They adapted their schedule at late notice to help us and Ben had brilliant communication throughout. The boat was perfect and the views were spectacular. Would recommend the trip to anyone!
- 5.0/5(4 Hour – Lake Tour)
Fantastic
Michigan is even more beautiful from the water. We made some great memories, and ticked a few things off of the bucket list. We caught four lake trout, Captain Adam is a fish whisperer! Jumped in the lake more than once. Sat back and soaked up the views.
- 5.0/5(3 Hour – Whale Watching & Wildlife - 10:00 AM)
So much fun!
The captain was so helpful coordinating our trip. We went out on the water and got to see plenty of wildlife. If ever we go back to Sitka I would definitely use them again!
About Cuddy cabin
A Cuddy cabin is a small powerboat with a cozy cabin in the bow. It blends open-deck fun with a sheltered space to rest. Book one if you want comfort, shade, and a smooth ride without giving up fishing room.
Most Cuddy cabin boats are around 20 to 30 feet long. The cockpit stays open for fishing and lounging. Up front, the cabin often has a V-berth for naps, gear storage, and sometimes a compact head, which is a simple toilet. Many models add a windshield, hardtop, and a walkaround to reach the bow with ease.
This boat type works well for day trips, evening cruises, and quick overnight stays. It handles inshore runs, lakes, and nearshore hops on fair days. Anglers like the stable hull, rod holders, and space to troll or cast. Families enjoy the dry ride and a place to duck out of wind or spray.
A Cuddy cabin suits first-timers and seasoned boaters alike. Beginners like the simple layout and easy handling at the dock. Small groups and families get shade, seating, and a safe spot for kids to rest. Bring soft bags, sun gear, non-marking shoes, and layers. Pack snacks, water, and any meds. Follow the captain’s safety talk and keep decks clear.
Before you go, check local rules for licenses and permits. Make sure life jackets fit and meet USCG standards. Ask about age rules, capacity limits, and any no-wake zones. Confirm what you can bring on board and what the crew provides. Local laws can change, so review them ahead of your trip.
