- Captain Rodrigo is an enthusiastic explorer with a strong passion for learning and experiencing new things. Sports like biking, paddleboarding, skiing, hiking, and sailing are some of his favorite activities. Music holds a special place in his heart, and he currently plays the drums in two bands, which he fondly refers to as the "engine of the group." In addition, he has a keen interest in photography, cooking, and mechanics. Traveling is one of his greatest joys in life, and fortunately, his wife supports his time spent out on the boat. They are proud parents of two incredible daughters, both now in their 20s. Originally from Chile, Captain Rodrigo has lived in the USA since 1999, having come to Boston University to earn an MBA. He then worked in the corporate sector for 13 years before taking on the responsibility of managing his family businesses in Chile and Peru, all while calling Miami home. As for sailing, Captain Rodrigo has been on the water since the age of 10 and holds a USCG Captain’s License. He has sailed along the coast of Chile, the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, Dry Tortuga, and from Key West to Isla Mujeres in Mexico. His life motto? "Relax, nothing is under control.
- Techniques
- I love sailing our 40' monohull, or any sailboat or Cat. But I do have a preference for monohulls as they are more agile, sporty and fresh. I do love snorkeling and paddleboarding as well.
