Lazer Sailing Experiences 

LAZER is more than just a sailing boat; it’s a project built around freedom, connection with the ocean, and the idea that sailing should feel authentic, personal, and alive.

Based in Caniçal, Madeira Island, LAZER offers private sailing experiences aboard a fully restored 1980 Beneteau First 30 Mauric, carefully brought back to life in 2025. The boat combines classic sailing character with comfort and safety, creating the perfect platform both for relaxed ocean experiences and for people who want to truly understand and feel sailing.

Unlike modern oversized charter boats, the Beneteau First 30 is dynamic, responsive, and alive at the helm, making it an incredible boat for learning. Guests are encouraged not only to relax, but also to participate, steer, trim sails, and understand how the boat moves with the wind and sea. Whether you are completely new to sailing or already passionate about it, every trip becomes an opportunity to connect more deeply with the ocean.

The boat accommodates up to 5 guests and is powered by both sails and a reliable diesel inboard engine. Onboard you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable and safe experience, including a fridge, speaker, snorkel masks, fishing gear, VHF radio, GPS, Garmin InReach, EPIRB, liferaft, safety buoyancy vests, water tank, kitchen, toilet, aft sun deck, one double bed and three individual beds.

LAZER is equipped with a mainsail, two genoas/jibs and a spinnaker, allowing guests to experience real sailing in different conditions, from peaceful coastal cruising to more engaging passages between islands.

Your captain, Alexandre Pestana, has several years of practical sailing experience, including offshore passages, island hopping and extensive work restoring and maintaining sailing boats himself. His approach is relaxed, genuine and hands-on,
