So about my background: We are a family of 5, kids 2, 5, 16, and I’m a first responder. We took not just one but 2 trips with Captain J and crew and couldn’t be happier! I’m an outdoorsman, enjoy fishing, exploring, just being out in nature. My wife enjoys it too, but also loves her creature comforts! This was the perfect blend of both worlds, offering “a-la-cart” activities. Captain J clearly knows what he’s doing, and knows his area with decades of experience, and enjoys sharing his stories and history of the area we were in. The boat was amazing! I hadn’t been on a cruising boat before so I didn’t know exactly what to expect. My boat experience is mostly with small fast boats with the wind in my face, and often the waves in my face! This boat wasn’t that. It was spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect for a family! Being a big heavy boat it made for a steady, stable platform to enjoy the view. Imagine a huge front porch to relax on with the scenery sliding by, that’s what it was like! Just a morning boat ride would have been great fun and a relaxing time, with a unique perspective on the islands, the beaches, the birds and of-course DOLPHINS! But he even treated us to catching some fish, something we were hoping to do but didn’t know if it would work out! He managed to put the girls on 3-4 good size fish that made their day! The 5-hour trip was the perfect time to squeeze this charter in between other activities, but there is so much more we could’ve done if we had the time. I think we’ll do an overnight next time if we can, but for sure a sunset cruise next time on an 8-hour! I would love to see the sunset from the water and get some great pics. We went for a 3 hour cruise with my son, husband and brother in law! We had so much fun and got to see dolphins swimming and jumping right alongside the boat. Captain Jay and his crew were great with our young son. It was such a beautiful day, I saw a group of stingrays too! My son still talks about it. It was such a fun experience and great memory for our family. We loved it and can’t wait to go again!
