Mayflower is a Square Topsail ketch designed by Hugh Angelman based out of Avalon. She can take up to six guests. The boat is powered by up to seven traditional canvas sails backed up by our 60 HP diesel inboard Yamaha engine, offering a maximum cruising speed of 10 knots. The vessel comes equipped with a powerful speakers for blasting sea shanties (or music of your choice) as well as a treasure chest full of garb in case you’d like to dress the part of a salty sailor or pirate!
The captain, Andrew Mayhugh specializes in traditional sailing and transporting you to a bygone era of life at sea!
Once onboard, you'll have facilities to make your trip as comfortable as possible such as our spacious main deck and quarterdeck with plenty of room to layout and sunbathe, our well appointed galley, two heads (bathrooms), hammocks and our four black powder cannon! Onboard policies are: alcohol allowed, children allowed, glass bottles allowed onboard, liveaboard stay possible, pets allowed, red wine allowed onboard, smoking allowed and swimming allowed.
You will find all the necessary safety features onboard, the boat features anchor, chart plotter, sonar, GPS, life jackets, VHF radio and wheel steering are included.
