I find it interesting that I booked this 4 hour morning trip months ago and when I showed up in HI the owner was no responsive. But contacted me at 12:40 am the night before the outing to tell me he was not aware of my booking and already had an 8 hour trip booked at my time. My only option was afternoon slots. I have been doing this for years and realized right away this didn’t sound right. However. This being a family vacation. I accepted the change for 1 day later in the afternoon. Showed up and the morning trip was very successful. 5 skip jacks and a 10ft marlin. The owner explained that he didn’t know what happened as he “doesn’t work much with boat booker” So we did the trip and enjoyed the time on the water. Captain and first mate were great. Fishing was not. 1 bite. They provided some tuna from the morning trip as a gift and that was appreciated. Something here smells fishy. Not sure who is at fault here but know I will never use either service again.

Caught my first marlin when I was 14. Grew up in Lahaina. One of my first friends, his dad owned Finestkind Sportfishing. Flew us to Kona for his birthday, fished in a tournament, caught my first marlin, 173 lbs, July 19, 1999. Going to college, we come back to Kona for winter and summer breaks had a 21 ft Sea Ray coupke rods coupke lures. My brother is 2 years older. We grew up fishing, wrestling, golfing x. He owns Hooked Up Sportfishing and is the captain of a private 54ft Viking. The combination of our friends and a little skiff got us going. Did some other things in life, but knew I'd end up where I am today. I did over 425 trips 2024 I'm on the water slot. I'm not a big fish hunter. I like to fish for whatever bites and what will feed us for a couple of days. Being an owner operator, I will work hard and make sure you have a good time doing so. My family owns Pancho & leftys cantina. Located on Alii Dr Been there since 1986. Got my P.G.A card in 2002, took a couple of years off, ended up in Florida for 6 years running jr. golf operations. Moved back to Kona in 2007, coached the high school golf team for 5 years. Opened Rosa's cantina, worked hard, saved money, bought a boat, and started GoGet 'Em Sportfishing. Rest is history. Look at the boat you choose, look for shaded places to sit. I have a 35 ft Bertram 15ft open cabin ideal for day in, day out charters. If you're feeling lucky, come book me up and roll the dice. Let's take a ride on the Konadice, see what we can do, Aloha.
