A Perfect Day on the Water: Dolphins, Shells & a Proposal to Remember 💍🐬
Our experience with Captain Jon’s private boating trip was truly unforgettable from start to finish. I booked this as a special Spring Break outing for my girlfriend, our two boys, our dog Beau, and myself—but it also doubled as a very meaningful moment, as I planned to propose at Shell Island since my girlfriend and the boys love shell hunting. From the beginning, Jon went above and beyond. He proactively reached out about an incoming cold front and suggested we adjust our date to ensure the best possible experience. That level of thoughtfulness made a huge difference, and I appreciated it more than I can say—we ended up with wonderful weather. During the trip, Jon worked hard to make it special for all of us. He even made sure we got to see dolphins, which the boys were thrilled about! When we arrived at Shell Island, everything fell into place for a beautiful, intimate proposal. Without me even asking, Jon captured photos of the moment—something we’ll cherish forever. That small but meaningful gesture really speaks to the kind of person he is. Jon was incredibly kind, patient, and personable throughout the entire trip. He made our family feel comfortable right away, was so friendly with our dog Beau on his first boat ride, and even let our boys take turns driving the boat—something they’re still talking about! Captain Jon, watching the dolphins was wonderful. He took us to a place where we could see a dolphin playing around and stayed long enough to have a friend show up. They stayed close to the surface so could keep track of them and came really close to the boat. Jon is a true professional

In spite of cold and rainy weather, Captain Jon made my trip memorable. Captain Jon was extremely knowledgeable of all the beach birds, mammals and surrounding beaches. We were also able to see several dolphins along the way. And if you are a shell collector, you can spend your entire time picking the most beautiful shells to take with you.
