Bamboo Charters has been running adventure trips in Islamorada since early 2001. Snorkeling and Sandbar adventures are two of our most popular activities. We also offer Eco tours, sunset cruises and we can even stop at local waterfront restaurants and bars during your day on the water.
Our boat is perfect for the waters that surround Islamorada. “Pearl the Chubby Mermaid” was built for these adventures. She’s a Parker 25 Special Edition and is powered by a 300 horse power Yamaha outboard. There is an over abundance of shade on the boat and plenty of sunny places to work on your tan. The boat is very roomy for 6 passengers and there's plenty of space for storage of your personal gear.
Safety gear is all US Coast Guard approved and up to date. We feature Garmin Navigation and Communication electricronics. For your listening pleasure, our amazing stereo system is Bluetooth capable so that you can choose your soundtrack for the day, all day long.
Snorkeling is a huge part of our business. Capt. Matt has been running dive tours here in the Keys since 1989 so when he laid out the boat, it is set up for ease of snorkeling, as well as getting in and out of the boat on a full professional dive boat ladder unmatched by other small boat operators. We carry a full selection of Masks, Fins and Snorkels to fit from the kids on up to grandma and grandpa and everyone in between.
Capt Matt has a logbook full of wonderful shallow water reefs to explore. We also have clean comfortable towels for everyone.

Snorkeling at Alligator Reef Lighthouse Was a 10 out of 10
Captain Matt was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be around. We have been snorkeling many places in the past, this was the best hands down. Matt also shared info about the local ecosystem which was cool. I would book Matt, and this trip again in a heartbeat.

Best value in Islamorada boat tours
Captain Matt was great! He has an Impressive knowledge of the ecological makeup of the keys. He was attentive to our specific needs and wants and took us to a wonderful, off- the-beaten-path snorkeling area. Not only did he provide all the snorkeling equipment necessary (most places don't supply snorkels), the use of noodles made snorkeling so much easier. We were able to see lots of ocean life, including a pod of dolphin! The music was great and the overall environment was so much fun. We would recommend to families of all ages. Worth every penny!

A Beautiful Saturday Indeed!!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time out on the water with Captain Matt! We booked last minute the day before and Matt was proactive in being sure to call me and see what we wanted to do so he could plan. He had everything we needed for a fun morning of snorkeling then hanging out at the sandbar. He is so friendly & very knowledgeable about marine life in the FL keys. We had a wonderful day and very thankful for Captain Matt who had plenty of ideas for us to choose from to make the most of our morning out on the water.

Great Captain, fantastic trip
We went out with Captain Matt for a short trip and he was incredible! Water was beautiful and he is incredibly knowledgeable about the islands. He was great with our 4 year old daughter and she’s still talking about him. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!
