Island Hopping is a relaxed way to explore a chain of islands by boat in one day. You cruise short distances, step ashore at multiple stops, and enjoy a fresh view at each one. It is simple, flexible, and perfect if you want variety without a long voyage.

On a typical Island Hopping trip, you meet your captain at the dock, review a float plan, and cast off. The ride is smooth and unhurried, with time to anchor in calm coves. You can swim, snorkel, beachcomb, or just relax on deck between short runs. Expect clear briefings, easy boarding, and plenty of shade and seating.

Trips often use a center console for quick hops, a pontoon for extra space, or a catamaran for stability. Your crew will explain basic terms, like bow (front) and stern (back), so first-timers feel at ease. They watch the weather, plan fuel and tide windows, and adjust the throttle for comfort. Most outings include several landings, with water and snack breaks between stops.

Island Hopping suits beginners, families, and friend groups. It also fits experienced boaters who want stress-free transport. Bring a light bag, sun protection, a towel, and sandals or water shoes. Pack a phone or camera in a dry pouch. Life jackets, also called PFDs, are provided and sized for each guest. Let the crew know about any mobility needs so they can help at the dock.

Before you go, check local rules for boating and shore access. Some places require guest IDs, park permits, or snorkel flags. Follow capacity ratings on board and listen to safety briefings.
