Amazing Fishing Trip
5 Hour Trip – Deep Sea (AM) on September 13, 2024
My husband and I went on a trip with captain Matt having a little fishing experience back home in MI but none on the ocean. We were open to fishing for anything so Matt recommended striper and we are glad he did. We were catching fish all day. We started at 6 AM and already had our limit of fish by 8:15! We kept fishing for fun trying to find the biggest fish. We had an absolute blast and captain Matt was amazing. He was so helpful, encouraging, and truly made the experience thrilling. Would recommend to anyone and would do it again next time we’re in Gloucester.

Amazing Fishing Trip

5 Hour Trip - Striped Bass (pm) on September 9, 2024
The trip was amazing! Captain Matt is very engaging and his guidance was spot on without seeming overbearing. We got into Mackerel like no other, then got into some nice Striped Bass. Those Bass are soooo much fun to bring in! There were a couple of times when both my girlfriend and I each had one on the line at the same time. We must add that, on top of the good fishing, the views of Gloucester from the water are incredible! We highly recommend Captain Matt and the Lyla Rose! Again, super friendly, informative, and fun to be around. B & Ehz

3 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on August 7, 2024
Matt was amazingly knowledgeable about the area and variety of fish we were looking to catch. He drove us straight into a mackerel patch and my kids pulled in multiple fish at a time on their first cast. He had a variety of bait to use and we ended up catching some striped bass as well. My 12 year old son and 8 year old daughter had a blast and we found that the 3 hour trip was perfect for us. Would recommend to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgeable guide who has lived in the area his whole life.

Our fishing trip aboard the Lyla Rose with Captain Matt was excellent! There was fishing action from beginning to end. We put two keepers in the boat, which proved delicious table fair, and several other sizable fish. There were multiple occasions where we doubled up and when the big fellas weren’t biting we kept entertained with football sized stripers. Captain Matt was knowledgable and great with my two boys, 8 & 10. All around great trip! Thanks for a fun and memorable experience Captain Matt!

Was a beautiful morning to be on the water! My wife an I were on our honeymoon.The trip for us was something nether one of us had done before we got some nice pictures of the seenry. The experience of catching our bait an some big bass was awesome! Captain Matt was full of history on the area an filled us in on how all the Captain's help each other out to make it a good an better experience for everyone.. can't wait to do it again!!
