Amazing day with Captain Carlos - 2 Striped Marlin!
6 Hour Trip on December 15, 2024
I did a solo half day charter with Captain Carlos. We left the marina around 6:15am, purchased live bait, caught a few small bonito (later used them as Marlin bait). We had a shark take a few of our live baits in the morning. As the hours passed, Carlos preached patience and kept moving the boat to find the fish. Like he said, right at 11am, we had a double header of two very good sized striped marlin. We were the only boat in the fleet that had hooked up - twice at the same time. We spend the next 60+ minutes fighting both fish, chasing one or the other down and eventually landed both in the boat. Needless to say, the ride back to the marina was filled with a bunch of high fives and laughs! I will be back to fish with Captain Carlos again, 100%! Great time on the water.

6 Hour Trip
Amazing day with Captain Carlos - 2 Striped Marlin!

I did a solo trip with Captain David. It was 2 days after a tropical storm rolled into San Jose Del Cabo so water still was a bit mixed up. David made the most of it for me, going back to the harbor to get some larger baits. I wanted to catch a Rooster but the TS messed that up. Ended the 6 hour trip with a Jack cravalle, a Monster needlefish, a small bonito and and a 4 foot reef shark. These guys know how to find fish and I recommend them for anyone looking to get on the water to fish while in San Jose. David is young and eager to help you catch a fish. He’s a native of San Jose, been fishing his entire life, has great English and knows how to make you and your fish look good in photos! Two thumbs up! Thanks guys!

6 Hour Trip
Fun day on the water!

David made the most of it for me, going back to the harbor to get some larger baits. I wanted to catch a Rooster but the TS messed that up. My son and I had the most amazing experience with Captain David! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made us feel welcome and at ease. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, especially with my 7yr old son. We caught several different types of fish but the highlight of our trip was catching rooster fish. The excitement on my son's face when he reeled in his first one is a memory I'll cherish forever. Captain David was right there to guide us, ensuring we had the best chance of making a catch. 8 Hour Trip – Tuna or marlin on June 16, 2024
At first I was mildly disappointed due to the boat being a bit smaller than I figured and being told we weren’t going after our target fish I had booked. However I had been told the waters were unseasonably cold by a snorkel guide the day before so i believed the captain (Carlos) when he told me the reason was that the target fish weren’t going to hit in cold water. We ended up going for rooster fish and wahoo and I had the best day of fishing I’ve had in years. My forearms are still sore from fighting all day. He cleaned them on the boat and I left with about as much in clean filets as I could carry off the boat. It was affordable for what prices are for a full day of chartered fishing , and brewskis were provided. Can’t recommend enough.

I booked a 6 hour trip with capricho and it was a wonderful experience. On our way out we ran into a school of jacks and caught 6 of those. I had noted I was a food first guy so after that we found a big rooster fish I could take home. We ended up with a couple of small bonitos we were using for bait but I even got to bring one of those home. We saw sea turtles, humpback whales, and a shark trying to take our bait at one point. Captain David was very professional and shared tips for fishing the area. They provided beers and water on the boat. I would definitely book with them again.
