So we booked a full day w/Capt. Lance, but as can be the case in mid-April, weather was a bit chilly, with a persistent NE breeze, which sent water temps way down and gave the fish lock jaw! We had one bite, and landed one really nice trout, which made it's way to the dinner table! That said, the lack of action, was NOT for a lack of effort. Capt. Lance ran all over from the back water up in Kitty Hawk and we fished all the way back down to the inlet, up behind the lighthouse, I mean he was relentless! He worked his network of guides and buddies, just wasn't happening...so although we booked a full day, with the lack of action he offered to cut the trip short and adjust the price...he was even willing to cut back to a half day, but being "diehards" we stayed a couple extra hours. I've fished all over, extensively, and would HIGHLY recommend Lance. He's hard working, professional, knows his craft, his boat and equipment are top notch, and he's a pleasure to spend a day on the water with. Anytime we are in the OBX area, OUTCAST will be our Charter!
