We can’t recommend Captain Jack enough! You will not find another evening fishing experience like he offers, and he does such a great job of personalizing the experience. Jack knows the waters around Beaufort so well and his many years of experience allow him to accurately predict fish movements. The evening of our trip was almost too windy to depart, but despite the conditions, Captain Jack brought us to a honey hole crawling with red drum. Along the way, he explained oyster farms, tide conditions, shrimp industry practices, and fish movements. Jack is very personable and made us feel like his own crew. The fishing itself was amazing as we were able to catch fifteen red drum in total that were all a great size, plus the first bull shark of his fishing season. He cleaned the drum that we wanted to keep and gave us tips for preparing the fish on the grill, which turned out to be some of the best fish we had ever tasted. If you’re looking to explore the inland waters of the North Carolina coast and create memories on a one of a kind fishing trip, Captain Jack is your man.
