This Father's Day, we had the pleasure of embarking on an unforgettable fishing trip with LeverDrag Charters, and it exceeded all our expectations. Joined by my husband and our sons, we set out with Captain Joe, whose expertise and passion made the day truly special. From the moment we boarded, Captain Joe's professionalism and knowledge were evident. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he knew exactly where to take us for the best fishing spots. While other boats in the area were struggling and captains were voicing their frustrations, we were consistently reeling in cod after cod. Captain Joe's insights and guidance made all the difference. He took the time to ensure we were using the best techniques, and his friendly demeanor made the experience enjoyable for everyone, including our boys. Full Day Trip on May 18, 2024
If I could rate this Trip more than 5 stars, i most certainly would. I booked this trip months ago for my boyfriend and brother in-laws to have a guys trip and enjoy some family time. Captain joe seemed very nice and patient as well as informative and experienced. With the booking being so far out unfortunately you can never predict the weather weeks to months out. The weather forecast showed rain to potential storms, so of course it was a little upsetting. But Captain Joe was so informative and reached out to us the day before and said that he felt comfortable still doing a trip. Fortunately the day of, the weather was not as bad as it showed. The guys met him at the dock and hit it off right away. They did a 4 hour trip and I was told they were catching fish the whole time. Captain joe took them to where they needed to go and the guys had a wonderful experience . If I could recommend anyone doing this, especially for the first time, i most certainly would recommend Joe. He is a great people person, informative, honest and you definitely get your time, experience and money worth. He is very laid back and fits in with anyones crowd. As the crew said, and i quote, “ It was like hanging out with our uncle”! - Thank you Captain Joe for giving the guys an amazing trip, catching fish, and being knowledgeable to keep everyone safe.

Captain Joe is AWESOME!!!!
If I could rate this Trip more than 5 stars, i most certainly would. I booked this trip months ago for my boyfriend and brother in-laws to have a guys trip and enjoy some family time. Great Early June Spanish Bite
3/4 Day Trip on May 31, 2024
Spent a great morning out with Capt. Joe for our 1st trip in Wrightsville Beach. Capt Joe met us on the dock and we left on time. His boat and equipment were perfect for Spanish fishing and it was clear from rhe start that he has been fishing these waters for years. We caught 25 or more small Spanish and a dozen blues in our 4 hours on the trip. Had a lot of great conversations and shared fishing stories. He also gave us some valuable fishing and rigging info. Highly recommend him and we will be back in the fall for another trip!!

Great Early June Spanish Bite

Capt. Joe was fantastic. He got us on fish in a matter of minutes, and it never stopped from there. My son (who had never caught a salt water fish), and my wife (who had never caught a fish, ever) had the best time. To quote my 12 year-old son, “This was the most amazing experience on water in my life!,” and “this is 10x better than Fortnight!” (IYKYK). Great communication throughout the entire process, and a level of professionalism unlike any other. I would 1000% recommend Capt Joe to anyone wanting to catch fish, and have a great time!!

Had an incredible day with the friends and the captain. Even though it was a bit windy and other boats didn’t seem to be having a great day on the water, we had fish back to back and even doubled at some point. The captain was very knowledgeable of where to fish and completely made the experience easy and worthwhile. I highly recommend and will be back!

Had an incredible day with the friends and the captain. Even though it was a bit windy and other boats didn’t seem to be having a great day on the water, we had fish back to back and even doubled at some point. The captain was very knowledgeable of where to fish and completely made the experience easy and worthwhile. I highly recommend and will be back!
