Great day of fishing despite rough conditions.
Half Day Trip – All Inclusive (AM) on January 8, 2025
We left the dock promptly at 6 AM, caught the bait and ice boat and motored from Cabo harbor with lures out. Captain Gilbert and first mate, Joel skillfully dealt with rapidly increasing winds (20+mph) and chop while changing bearings to attract fish. Sea lions grabbed our first seven hits before we got them in the boat but the crew was undeterred. Captain Gilbert evaded the lions and we ultimately brought in seven Bonito, one skip Jack and a trigger fish for sushi. Joel was quick on the rigs and politely catered to the anglers. They worked hard to ensure we had a satisfying trip. Blue Tail was a seaworthy and kind boat for the task.

Half Day Trip – All Inclusive (AM)

Gilberto and his first mate were amazing. The boat was very clean and well maintained. They provided a yummy lunch and had plenty of drinks and snacks. We let Gilberto know what our target fish was, and he had us on them in no time. They were very kind with corrections on fishing techniques, as my daughter is a seasoned fisherwoman but in the moment she can get a little excited with her reeling. We got to play our own music and an added bonus was getting to see the whales. Gilberto made sure to point out the whales and dolphins and even taught us some things about them. All and all it was a great trip. This was our second trip with them and we plan to book again in the future!

Full Day Trip – All Inclusive
Such an awesome experience
Gilberto and his first mate were amazing. The boat was very clean and well maintained. They provided a yummy lunch and had plenty of drinks and snacks. We let Gilberto know what our target fish was, and he had us on them in no time. They were very kind with corrections on fishing techniques, as my daughter is a seasoned fisherwoman but in the moment she can get a little excited with her reeling. We got to play our own music and an added bonus was getting to see the whales. Gilberto made sure to point out the whales and dolphins and even taught us some things about them. Full Day Trip – All Inclusive on December 10, 2024
For a long time my husband has been wanting to go to Cabo San Lucas to go deep sea fishing. My husband does not speak Spanish except for a few pleasantries. I picked Cabo Sportfishing Crew – Blue Tail on the Fishing Booker website because in the video the captain spoke fluent English, the boat has a bathroom, all of the necessities were provided for us (license, lunch, live bait), and we could have a private charter without any other person competing for the hooked fish. We got all that we want and more! Gilbert piloted the boat. Joel set up the numerous fishing poles (10?) and made sure that we had everything that we needed. He is friendly and patient, chatting with us and answering my husband's numerous questions. The boat made a stop at a marina convenience store on our way out of the marina, which was fortune because I had forgotten my seasickness pills. We stayed in sight of land throughout the day. We caught a lot of fish of varying species. Joel got the fish hooked on the lines and handed the poles to us. When I could not turn the reel any more, Joel or Gilbert were right there to help me. My husband caught a 9 foot striped marlin which barely fit across the front floor of the boat. Of course, Joel and Gilbert got the fish into the boat and they did much of the lifting. Joel made sure that we were comfortable and had enough to eat and drink. Gilbert and Joel kept a eye out for whales and pointed them out to us. We saw a couple breach, coming way out of the water and slamming down causing large splashes. We also stopped and took photos of the Arch. This fishing trip was everything that my husband wanted and even though he crossed it off his bucket list, I think he is planning another trip here! If we come here again, we definitely would book Cabo Sportfishing Crew.

The Captain and Mate made our trip!!!
Full Day Trip – All Inclusive on September 3, 2024
The day started late, due to our boat needing repair, but we didn't need to worry because we were in great hands and treated like royalty. We were taken to breakfast by our Mate: Joel while the boat was being repaired. After the boat was repaired we were on our way!!! The manager was sure to inform us, even with the late start, that we would get to enjoy our full day trip. What a trip it was, Captain:Gilbert and Mate:Joel, were an amazing crew! They put us on a ton of fish, so many that we were getting tired. We enjoyed their company on the boat. They really made us feel at home, constantly making sure that we had everything we needed. We've fished a handful of times in Cabo and have not had a better crew!!! We ended the day having caught Durado, Skip jack, Bonita and Striped Marlin but even with all the fish action, our day wouldn't have been great with out the fantastic crew!! The Captain and Mate made the trip!

Full Day Trip – All Inclusive
The Captain and Mate made our trip!!!

Half Day Trip – All Inclusive (AM) on August 26, 2024
First time fishing in more than twenty years and it was worth the wait. We had an epic morning with Captain Gilbert and First mate Javier and it was an honor to fish with them. They have such a respect for their fellow fishermen and for the creatures of the sea. We learned so much from them. FISH ON was the common theme of the trip and we felt so blessed and lucky landing 10 fishes in 5 hours. The last 3 hook ups were marlins which I have never fished before (the last 2 were a double). Needless to say, my arms were a bit sore the next morning. Such a memorable experience and it seemed like the crew planned the story for us. The fish only got bigger as the day went on. Javier was hustling all day long, kept the boat in pristine condition and catered to us all day. Thank you again, Javier. We have a huge respect and appreciation for Captain Gilbert. As a novice, I know days like this will come and go, but if there are fish out there, Gilbert will do his best to find them. Please make sure you say, “thank you” to them every time you hook up. Reeling them in is the easy part.
