Epic day on the ocean with Captain Dez!
6 Hour Trip – Reef/Wreck/Bay (AM) on December 26, 2024
My two adult children and I went out with Captain Dez! Right from the start he put us at ease and set us up for an awesome day on the water. He was polite, professional, and felt like a friend on the boat with us. We had limited experience, but he guided us effortlessly into catching over ten different species of fish and upwards of 50 fish!! We learned different techniques and so much about Marathon Florida! Captain Dez was so knowledgeable and truly made this an unforgettable experience. Having gone ocean fishing once before and having certain expectations, this exceeded them by far. From eating our catch raw back at the dock with soya sauce, to having him help us land bigger fish than we have ever seen, we will certainly be returning to fish with Dez. He is a top notch guy and captain. Thank you so much to him and Captain Jay charters for the great adventure that I will recommend to any and all. Warmly from Canada, Bob, Gus, and Ellie.

6 Hour Trip – Reef/Wreck/Bay (AM)
Epic day on the ocean with Captain Dez!

Great afternoon out with my kids
3 Hour Trip – Family (PM) on December 19, 2024
Took my three boys (12, 10 and 5) out with Captain Ben. They have fished a bit before but needed help on technique and really just wanted to catch fish no matter the size. Ben was great at explaining what to do and constantly keeping their lines in the water despite tangled lines, lost hooks, etc. we caught over 30 fish including enough keepers to take home for dinner. By the end he even got Grandma to catch one. We would use him again

Dez was incredible- so knowledgeable, so friendly and he has a great personality. He worked really hard to make sure that we had a great time. When we got back from the charter, we loved his dockside sashimi experience and the shark feeding demonstration. To complete our experience, his restaurant recommendation to take our fresh catch was our favorite dining experience of our vacation. Thank you Captain Jay charters and a huge shoutout to Dez!

We caught a good bit of snapper which Dez suggested we have fried at a local restaurant and it was delicious, ate it for dinner that night! Our captain and crew were incredible and accommodating and flexible. Weather predictions were inaccurate in predicting the sea conditions. We tried deep sea fishing but had to abandon it because it was too much and our group couldn’t handle it. Regardless, our captain made sure we got in some fish, had some swimming / snorkeling time and made sure everyone was taken care of. They were engaging and awesome with the kids too!
