Here’s the simplest way to think about it: every yacht is a boat, but not every boat qualifies as a yacht. A pontoon boat<\/a> is a boat. A bass fishing skiff is a boat. A kayak is technically a boat. None of them are yachts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what makes a boat a yacht? There’s no official cutoff, but the industry generally draws the line around 35\u201340 feet in length<\/strong>.
